Archived June 29, 2023 Murals for Aquatic Centre Westside Recreation Centre in Calgary is currently seeking proposals for mural artwork(s) inside our Aquatic Centre. This is a paid opportunity. The artist will be responsible for developing content and creating designs reflecting themes provided by Westside Recreation Centre. The budget must include all supplies, creation and/or installation. The mural painting/installation must completed during our Aquatic maintenance shutdown, August 28 – September 18, 2023. Hours are flexible. We currently have six areas that require painting, with the following measurements: 12’ x 15’ 12’ x 16.5’ 12’ x 21.5’ 12’ x 6’ 12’ x 5’ 12’ x 29’ All areas are in close proximity, so the mural could be one continuous design, or several complementary designs. The artwork would need to stand up to an Aquatic environment – warm, damp, airborne chemicals.
