The Opportunity

The Okotoks Museum and Archives/Art Gallery has an exciting opportunity for a museum representative to join their team from May to August this year. The culture & heritage representative will assist with artifact collections management, education program delivery and exhibit development.

Candidates must be enrolled in post-secondary education, preferably Museum/Cultural Studies, Canadian History or related studies, and must be returning to school for the 2023-24 term.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required as well as a high level of attention to detail.

Proficiency using office software applications is required. Candidates must be fluent in English and an intermediate knowledge of French will be considered an asset.

This position is non-permanent position working 37.5 hours a week from May to August pending grant approval. Applicants must be prepared to work varying days, including weekends.

Pre-employment Requirements

Candidates who progress to final stages of the recruitment process will be required to provide proof of education and designation along with a favourable criminal record check and possibly a driver’s abstract depending on the position.
