February 8, 2023 Open Call for All Visual Artists Resilience Art Project Submission deadline: February 20, 2023 – 11:59pm Award: $1,200 The Hispanic Arts Society (HAS) is launching an initiative this February 2023 called the Resilience Art Project. Our project aims to showcase five eight-foot-tall sculptures painted by local artists. The sculptures (original designs by HAS) are identical in form and create a heart shape when viewed from front and back angles. The objective of this sculpture project is to celebrate the resilience of community members during and after the lockdown. The sculptures will travel to various indoor and outdoor venues in Mohkinsstsis/Calgary to promote local artists and increase people’s access to art in public spaces.
