JazzYYC is hiring! The board of directors of JazzYYC is excited to announce that we are hiring an operations manager to join our organization.

The operations manager is a part-time contract position that will attract an experienced arts manager who thrives in an organized environment and has experience in operations, admin, event management, communications, volunteering, and fundraising support.

JazzYYC is a registered charitable organization that:

About the role

The operations manager will be responsible for the coordination of administration and support services for JazzYYC. This role involves operational coordination, aspects of program planning and event management.

The operations manager is responsible for coordinating and managing JazzYYC’s operations in accordance with the direction set by the board of directors and the artistic director.

Key responsibilities include operational coordination and management, event management, communications support, volunteer coordination, membership and fundraising support.

Compensation & Working Conditions

  • $28 to 35/hour based on experience and skills. We anticipate a contract for a minimum of 22.5 hours per week, with the requirement to accommodate activities such as evening JazzYYC events.
  • Preference is for staff member to be located in Calgary. JazzYYC will provide work space, with opportunities to work remotely. Staff to be onsite for JazzYYC events.
  • Role reports to artistic director and JazzYYC executive committee.

Important Dates:

  • We need to hear from you by Sunday, September  26, 2021.
  • We expect to conduct interviews the week of September 27, 2021 if possible.
  • We’d like to think about it, and then make a decision/make an offer the week of October 4, 2021.
  • We’d like you to start as soon as possible after that!
