Part-Time Private Piano Teacher, Contemporary
For Senior Students
M&P (Music & Play) has an immediate opportunity to add a part-time private contemporary piano teacher to our team. If you have high standards for music and arts education, love to inspire students and would like to help ‘build great people’ as part of West Calgary’s leading music school, we want to hear from you.
Private Piano Teacher Applicants Must Have:
- Minimum Grade 9 RCM or CC (Grade 10 and/or related degree preferred).
- Previous teaching experience with moderate to advanced students.
- Experience teaching CC’s contemporary idioms curriculum or using lead sheets, modes and improvising is highly desirable for our contemporary teachers.
- Knowledge and previous application of standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum for private lessons and the ability to work evenings and/or weekends depending on student loads is required.
Successful applicants will be friendly and outgoing, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, love working in a team and possesses a reliable way getting to the studio.
