Untold Stories Theatre is seeking performers in Calgary and the surrounding area from all backgrounds and experience levels to submit for our production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella!

Jean-Michel (performer must be aged 18+)

Submissions

Anyone interested is asked to submit a video of the following: A 1 – 2 minute cut of a song they love to sing that shows their acting ability and vocal range.

What we’re looking for: This performer will need to be a strong singer and actor. This performer should be a good mover and will partake in some numbers as ensemble.

Please submit your video to us via an unlisted YouTube link through forms.google.

Callbacks, if necessary, will be determined at a later date.

A feisty, passionate peasant determined to make a change for the starving class. Impulsive. A firebrand, but lacks authority and isn’t taken seriously as a revolutionary. Has a crush on Gabrielle, though their courtship is forbidden because they are from different social classes. (Male identifying character, tenor, aged 18+)

About the Show

Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella is the new Broadway adaptation of the classic musical. This contemporary take on the classic tale features Rodgers & Hammerstein’s most beloved songs, including In My Own Little Corner, Impossible/It’s Possible and Ten Minutes Ago, alongside an up-to-date, hilarious and romantic libretto by Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane.

This is a story about following your dreams, fighting for what’s right, and showing everyone that the real magic is kindness.
