The division of drama in the School of Creative and Performing Arts in the Faculty of Arts is currently seeking a full-time regular properties master.

The properties master reports to the academic production manager. This position works variable hours when necessary.

The properties master is a fully proficient technical practitioner with in-­depth knowledge of theory, systems, technologies, and processes of properties design and construction. This position requires discretionary decision-­¿making based on sound judgement within prescribed policies, and a high level of independence and initiative within the position responsibilities.

The position juggles multiple simultaneous deadlines and shifting priorities throughout the academic year; work is driven by constant deadlines. The work requires possible exposure to dangerous materials and/or situations. There is a moderate to high level of physical demands. The work requires the properties master to be off campus for the purposes of materials acquisition and research. Training and monitoring of part-­time and student staff on projects and all workshop equipment is required. Ongoing budget and receipt tracking along with credit card reconciliation are expected.
