Using her career and life experiences, Heather Shillinglaw will discuss how she moved her art career forward. She will discuss her public art projects and major art exhibitions. Heather Shillinglaw is a mixed-media artist that uses art collage to explain her familial oral histories and storytelling within her work. She is an Appetogasan, her ancestors were Newyhin/Cree, Dene/Chipewyan, Salteaux/Ojibwe & Scots/French. She was born in Daysland, Alberta and grew up near Cooking Lake, Alberta. Chris W. Carson and Tara Vahab will act as host and moderator for this session that can give us ideas on how to advance our careers! There will be time for your questions and discussion after a presentation by Heather Shillinglaw.
