Screenwriting! This class explores the essential elements of screenwriting including screenplay structure and formatting, cinematic language, crafting memorable characters, creating standout dialogue, and the necessary ingredients of a good story. Through writing , pitching and brainstorming exercises, participants move from outline to treatment to screenplay!

Join our new Screenwriting Instructor Ted Stenson in person for 10 weeks from January 20 to March 2024, Saturdays 2:30 – 4:30pm in person, but accepting Zoom participation as well.

MEET OUR FACULTY MEMBERS Introducing Ted Stenson Classes: Screenwriting with Ted Stenson Ted Stenson is a Calgary-based writer and filmmaker. He has an MFA in Playwriting from the University of Calgary and has taught screenwriting and playwriting at the University of Calgary, NUTV, West Island College, and Waldorf Junior High School. Ted's films and plays have been screened and performed in Canada and the United States, including his Telefilm Talent-to-Watch supported feature film Events Transpiring Before, During, and After a High School Basketball Game which premiered at VIFF in 2020 and screened at over 15 festivals in North America, winning awards.
