We are seeking submissions of short stories for Chinook Blast in 2021. Radical Bookshop + Press is an indie publisher based in Calgary. We are partnering with the Calgary Public Library on an event for Chinook Blast to feature short stories from local writers. We are seeking short story submissions up to 5,000 words which will be printed in small chapbooks and made available at the Central Library. An author reading and event will be part of our even in mid-February. While we are planning for an in-person event, we may move to a digital format pending COVID-19 restrictions. Submissions are open until Saturday, December 12, 2020. Submissions are free. Upon acceptance, artists will get a publishing contract agreement that will stipulate their advance and any royalties.
