Social Media Coordinator
STASH + RICK RACK is looking for an awesome person to join our team as Social Media Coordinator! We are looking for a fun, outgoing, and creative team member with fresh ideas about online and social media marketing strategies to help spread the word about our sweet stores.
The right person for the job would need to familiarize themselves with our target audience, identify social media opportunities for both businesses, create and deliver social media content, and measure the success of social media
strategies. The Social Media Coordinator would work closely with the business owner, managers from both stores, and with the programming coordinators of both stores.
STASH + RICK RACK welcomes and encourages members of the BIPOC, LGBTQ2+, Indigenous, or other traditionally marginalized communities to apply. The initial rate of pay for this position is $18/hr for 5 days of work per week and requires you to work on-site at STASH and RICK RACK on a schedule as agreed upon by the store managers. Key Skills for the position
- Must be familiar with current trends in social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and know how to use them.
- Must be very comfortable with technology such as PC desktop computers & smartphones.
- Must be willing to work at both STASH and RICK RACK locations.
- Experience with social media scheduling software such as Later is an asset.
- Ability to create a timeline and meet set deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must enjoy brainstorming, thinking outside of the box, and creative problem solving as a team.
- Post secondary education related to digital and/or traditional marketing communications strategies is an asset.
- Photography and video editing skills are an asset.
- Knowledge of knitting, garment sewing and current crafting trends is an asset.
Duties
- Identify social media opportunities for both businesses.
- Create and deliver social media content.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings and brainstorm sessions.
- Measure the success of social media strategies.
- Schedule content for social media platforms for STASH + RICK RACK.
- Answer questions and engage online with customers through social media platforms.
- Assist with various special events.
