Work with internationally trained dialect coach Laurann Brown to master your standard American dialect.
Laurann will provide actors with the tools to break down an accent into manageable pieces, then learn the muscularity, musicality and sound changes required to craft an authentic and expressive Standard American dialect.
The course will be a mixture of theory and practice as you a) learn how to master the target sounds of the dialect and which sounds will always flag you as ‘not American’; b) apply the theory to various practice texts; and c) analyze your own text, learning to map out the changes on your own.
