Archived May 9, 2023 Technical Director For Festival of Emerging Artists We are seeking a technical director to join our IGNITE! team for the 2023 IGNITE! Festival of Emerging Artists in Calgary. The technical director will be responsible for planning and executing a successful load-in, technical running elements and strike. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical theatre production, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.Key Responsibilities: Receive and source all information about the artistic projects involved in the festival. Determine the production requirements and the festival’s capacity to satisfy them. Identify gaps and source materials to satisfy those gaps. Schedule technical time based on production availability and need. Schedule technical staff and support that staff throughout the festival. Collaborate with the production team, including lighting and sound designers, stage managers and other technical personnel to ensure a successful festival.
