In this free online session, we will walk you through what counts as a commercial gallery. How they work. And, How they differ from other kinds of public galleries/art spaces.

Chris W. Carson, Executive Director, CARFAC Alberta, will discuss ways to professionalize your art practice. The talk will focus on best practices for craft, media, and visual artists in Alberta, and in particular, Working with a Commercial Gallery. There will be opportunities for your questions on how the art world really works.

We will also have Angela Bugera from Bugera Matheson Gallery speak on how to engage with local commercial galleries.

This opportunity is presented by the Edmonton Gallery District Association, in partnership with the Edmonton Community Foundation and CARFAC Alberta, and is open to all BIPOC artists in Edmonton and region.
