Country Thunder

Lanre Ajayi goes country to check out this music festival

North America’s premier touring country music festival, Country Thunder rolled back into Calgary this summer bringing with it an amazing lineup of musicians and Lanre Ajayi was on hand to capture the excitement.

Returning to Prairie Winds Park in the northeast, this festival featured performances by Miranda Lambert, Jake Owen, Terri Clark, Tanya Tucker, Shawn Austin, and many more. Local musicians also got the chance to shine.

“I am playing on the Country 105 stage with my friend JJ Shiplett. We’re hosting the songwriter sessions,” says performer Kaley Beisiegel. “From being in a country band and also doing my own music, I have a lot of friends that are really great writers. So, yeah, just hosting that today and looking forward to hearing their songs and sharing songs with all of you.”

Talking to attendees, vendors, and performers, grab a cowboy hat and tune into My City Speaks To Me.
