My name is Brett Dahl, and I am a Calgary born/based queer performer, theatre educator, and writer. As an artist, I strive to reclaim or re-imagine stories from a queer perspective and explore aspects of queer culture, history, and life authentically.

I am committed to making space for queer expression, queer representation, and to be a voice for the LGBTQ+ community. There is a vital importance of keeping alive a cultural dialogue surrounding the lives of people marginalized by non-traditional gender expression or sexual identity, especially in theatre.

I am passionate about sharing stories of queer people and want to be a catalyst for change that broadens our understanding and interpretation of theatre and queer storytelling. I strive to carve out space for queer conversations to happen, fearlessly examining perspectives and issues that explore the queer identity.
