My artistic practice involves oil painting and mixed media paintings which are realistic in nature. I like to paint portraits but often give them a pop art interpretation. I paint mostly portraits of local wrestlers, luchadores (Mexican wrestlers) and musicians/actors but have also taken commissions to paint family members in this pop art style. I have painted banners for the City of Calgary and some represent historical figures and some represent local wildlife. I usually paint from a photograph or meticulously researched images.
