ATB Financial Healing Through the Arts Award

The ATB Financial Healing Through the Arts Award was presented from 2013 to 2022. We thank ATB Financial for their support of the Cultural Leaders Legacy Arts Awards.

This award was established to recognize artists whose artistic practices encompass health and wellness to improve the wellbeing of individuals, groups, or communities. The award is intended to promote the healing nature of the arts and its critical role as a means of expression for those facing physical or mental health issues.

Our commitment to Indigenous reconciliation, racial equity, disability justice, and gender and sexual diversity.

We acknowledge that the land we gather on, Mohkinsstsis, is the ancestral territory of the Siksikaitsitapi — the Blackfoot people — comprising the Siksika, Kainai and Piikani Nations, as well as Treaty 7 signatories, the Tsuut’ina Nation and the Îyârhe Nakoda Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney First Nations. Today this land is home to the Metis Nations 5 and 6 as well as many First Nations and Inuit peoples from across Turtle Island.
