Applications Open: Artist Development Microgrant
Applications are now open for the Artist Development Microgrant program. Due to the increasing volume of applications in recent years, we are piloting a lottery process for this program in 2024. You can find details about the microgrant and how to apply in the Program Guidelines and learn more about the lottery process on our blog.
This program is intended to support professional and artistic skill development or business and career development activities for individual artists and artist collectives. The goal of the program is to contribute to the skills and knowledge required to advance artists’ careers and develop artistic practices in Calgary (known as Mohkinsstsis in Blackfoot).
You can learn more about the program guidelines and the pilot lottery process in the online information session. We will also host four online open office Q+A sessions for artists to ask questions on the following dates:
- Wednesday, September 25 from 12 – 1:30pm: Register here.
- Wednesday, October 2 from 5:30 – 7:00pm: Register here.
- Thursday, October 10 from 4 – 5:30pm: Register here.
- Tuesday, October 15 from 10 – 11:30am: Register here.
The deadline to apply for this program is October 16, 2024.
