Original Peoples Investment Program: 2023 Results

The Original Peoples Investment Program provided one-time project funding to First Nation, Metis and Inuit individual artists, artist collectives and Indigenous-led and centred arts organizations in Treaty 7. This program supported the innovation, preservation and revitalization of First Nations, Métis and Inuit art through art-based projects that are supported and validated by FNMI artists, community, Elders and Knowledge Keepers. We recognize and support both traditional and contemporary Indigenous artists and arts practices within this program.

We received 50 applications requesting $855,488 and were able to support 40 applications to a total of $695,488. For information about how this program was assessed, please see the Terms of Reference for the 2023 Original Peoples Investment Program.
