Virtual and In-Person Q&A for Artist Development Microgrant
Are you currently working on your grant application for Intake 1 of Calgary Arts Development’s 2023 Artist Development Microgrant, or considering whether or not you will apply?
We are hosting both in-person and virtual ‘open office space’ opportunities for people to ask us questions.
In-Person Open Office Space
On Friday, March 17 from 12 – 3pm, artists are invited to come to our new office in person, ask questions and get staff feedback on their draft applications.
Please note: This space is intended for artists who already have a clear and eligible activity or opportunity in mind, and are actively working on preparing their microgrant application for the April 5 deadline. This is not a general info session or intended for artists who have not decided what they would use the grant for.
Due to limited space, we ask that folks register for a specific time slot so you will be guaranteed to have some one-on-one time with a program specialist. That said, once you are successfully registered, you are welcome to come to the office anytime between 12 – 3pm and work on your application and/or listen to other questions being asked by fellow artists. Or you may choose to only come during your specific time slot.

Virtual Open Office Space via Zoom
On Monday, March 20, 2023 from 4 – 7 pm, we are hosting a virtual ‘open office space’ online over Zoom. Artists are welcome to login and join at any time during the Zoom session to ask our program specialists questions about the Artist Development Microgrant and to listen to other artists’ questions. Folks can stay for as long as or as short as they like. There is no formal presentation — just three hours of artist Q+A!
For Zoom security reasons, we ask that folks register here to attend. The Zoom link will be provided upon registration. Registering for this session confirms that you agree to our group agreements for this event. Be sure to read the document before signing up.
