Calgary’s own artistic matchmaker shares how a creative tap opened in her life

Cherie McMaster

An author, poet, artist, learner, and believer in the power of art to build connection, cultivate love, and heal, Harpreet Dayal is the founder of the Love Notes Project.

In fact, Dayal relocated to Calgary because of love.

“I met my husband, believe it or not, on Instagram, back in 2012,” she explains. “I met him and did the whole long-distance thing and finally decided to move to Calgary. And it’s been a bit of an interesting journey.”

Shortly after the move, she created the Love Notes Project. With the mission to encourage positivity and healing through arts, this artistic matchmaking production has been presented annually for the past three years.

Tune in to hear more about her first impressions of the city, how she developed the project, and what is next.
