What city ward do you live in?
I live in Pineridge, Ward 10.
How do you describe yourself as an artist?
I am whimsically philosophical, colourfully ontological, and visually conversational.
What does living a creative life mean to you?
A creative life means being still, to make space for and allow ideas to flow through me as a medium, and taking prompt action to express those ideas in a way that can be shared for the good of others.
What do you love about Calgary and what is one place you go to find inspiration in Calgary?
I love that Calgary is growing and evolving as a city to appreciate a wider classification of what can be called art, and I love going to conventions and markets in Calgary to see what artists have to share.
If you could do one thing this year to make Calgary a better place to live, what would it be?
I will be continuing to update my webcomic for everyone who needs a reminder of what love looks like.
What piece of advice would you give to an emerging artist?
Trust the process and continue to put out faith in the final result being on its way. Don’t believe in the reasons you can’t execute an inspired idea, whether it be time or money or location or people—fear is only false evidence appearing real.
What are you currently working on?
I am currently working on a webcomic which shows how intimacy is built by following the real conversations of two fictional queer couples and their occasional genderbend parallel universe counterparts.
