Alberta’s 114th Anniversary

The Hon. Lois E. Mitchell, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, chats with My City Speaks To Me

With an estimated population of over four million, Alberta is Canada’s fourth most populous province and celebrated its 114th anniversary this past September.

Her Honour Lois E. Mitchell, the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, took time out of the day to sit down with Lanre Ajayi of My City Speaks To Me. The two chatted about the importance of the celebration, her role and history, and what she is passionate about.

“Our province was built through dedication, innovation, and the strength of people who wanted to create something better for themselves and their communities,” says Mitchell.

Held at the Historic Bow Valley Ranche House in Fish Creek Provincial Park, the day featured great entertainment, including the National Band of the Naval Reserves, live music, and award presentations. Tune in to learn more.
