Episode 53: Otafest Pt. 2
With Kristy North Peigan and Girl_DM
UPDATE: This page has been updated with the correct video. Previously, it had the link to Otafest Pt. 1 instead of Pt. 2. Thank you for your patience.
We continue to explore the stories behind the scenes of this Otafest 2024 in this episode of our Living a Creative Life web series with host Adora Nwofor.
Tune in and learn about Kristy North Peigan, aka Kristicles, a Blackfoot artist whose interest in the arts led her to the Alberta College of Art and Design (now AUArts), and to creating wonderful costumes for cosplay. Then meet VTuber Girl_DM in all her anime glory discussing her appearances at OtaFests past and present. This Japanese pop culture festival runs May 10 to 12 at the Telus Convention Centre.
In case you hadn’t heard, this city is bursting with creativity and events! Our Living a Creative Life web series showcases amazing Calgary creatives to find out what they’re up to and help you plan your social calendar. Who knows? You may even be inspired!
