Heritage Park
There’s never a dull moment at Canada's largest living history museum
Heritage Park is a gem hidden from plain sight. It’s Canada’s oldest living history museum sitting on 127 acres of prime land along Glenbow reservoir—a mini wonderland of adventures. If you’re looking for history that you won’t find in a textbook, Heritage Park is your go-to place.
Lanre Ajayi swung by this steadfast Calgary attraction that aims to connect people with the settlement of Western Canada while preserving the area’s culture and heritage.
“We’re a very busy living history museum—an open-air museum,” explains curator Sylvia Harnden. “This is a wonderful legacy to the vision, the commitment, the courage, the cooperation, and the generosity of Calgarians for nearly six decades who have supported this park in one way or another.”
