The Art of Hosting
Season 7, Episode 1
In the Season 7 premiere of Living A Creative Life, we explore the intricate craft of hosting through the lens of one of Calgary’s most dynamic emerging hosts, Priscilla Cherry. Our in-house host, Adora, steps into the world of The Oratory, Priscilla’s highly anticipated live talk show, just days before its grand debut in March 2025.
As Priscilla meticulously prepares for the show’s launch, Adora follows her through rehearsals, creative meetings and intimate moments of reflection, uncovering the philosophy and vision behind The Oratory. From her early inspirations to the challenges of carving out space in Canadian media, Priscilla opens up about what it means to be a host not just on stage, but also in life.
Through conversations with her creative team, including set designers, producers and fellow artists, we witness the behind-the-scenes magic that brings The Oratory to life. Along the way, Adora reflects on her own journey as a host and what it takes to craft a space that feels intentional, electric and meaningful for both guests and audiences alike.
