Our free day-long workshop for the Original Peoples Investment Program (OPIP) takes place at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) on Saturday, January 19, 2019. The workshop is limited to 30 participants and a small honorarium of $50 will be provided to help with costs of participation.
The goal of this workshop is to help local First Nations/Métis/Inuit artists applying to OPIP develop skills that will be helpful in applying to the program, as well as any other potential arts granting opportunities.
Topics covered include:
- Project budgeting and planning.
- Selection process do’s and don’ts and group agreements.
- Storytelling: How to think, share and talk about your art in the most compelling way.
The workshop takes place:
January 19, 2019
9:00am – 5:00pm
Chinook Lodge, Senator Burns Building, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (Room NN108, 1301 16th Ave. NW)
Lunch and light refreshments will be provided (please notify us if you have any dietary restrictions and/or food allergies).
Parking is $7/day on Saturday at the SAIT parking garage closest to Chinook Lodge. SAIT is also conveniently located on the CTrain line. A small honorarium of $50 will be provided to help with costs of participation (i.e. travel, parking, childcare).
