RFP: 2024 Arts Spaces Infrastructure Report Update
Calgary Arts Development is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to support a strategic update of our 2017 Arts Spaces Strategy, Building on Our Momentum. The RFP is intended to solicit meaningful responses from qualified consultants or consulting teams with proven expertise in arts and culture infrastructure planning, municipal policies and bylaws, commercial leasing and capital project development processes, data compilation and analysis, and consultation with diverse groups.
This report is to be fueled by curiosity, building on the 2017 report with updates regarding arts and culture infrastructure post-pandemic, resulting in a renewed understanding of context and in specific recommendations and actionable tactics by Calgary Arts Development, its shareholder City Council, and its partner organizations.
As the city’s designated arts development authority, Calgary Arts Development supports and strengthens the arts to benefit all Calgarians. We invest and allocate municipal funding for the arts provided by The City of Calgary and leverage these funds to provide additional operating resources to the arts sector.
Guided by Calgary Arts Development’s Strategic Framework and the Imagine This report, the 2024 update will focus on strategic analyses and recommendations that will help ensure that the needs and preferences of Calgarians for arts and culture infrastructure, policies, granting and other programs are met over the next decade. The 2024 update will do this by providing data analysis and recommendations regarding: existing inventory; gaps in infrastructure and availability; relative federal, provincial and municipal infrastructure funding histories; and trends and opportunities to create, renovate, refurbish and sustain arts and culture infrastructure.
This RFP closes at 4pm MST on January 22, 2024. The Response should be emailed to the key contact with the subject 2024 Arts Spaces Infrastructure Report Strategic Update before the closing date. Late submissions will not be accepted.
