Charlotte Nixon

Charlotte Nixon is a playwright, teacher, and giant goofball. Her published works include: Silver’s Secret, Itsy Bitsy: Trial of an Eight-Legged Washout (Pioneer Drama), Bippity, Bobbity BAAM (Brooklyn Publishers), One Bad Apple: The Queen, Snow White and the Evil Red Delicious (Heartland Plays), and The Divine Bovine (Big Dog Plays). In addition, Charlotte has written commissions for Brinton Theatricals, Alberta Dance Theatre, Goodger-Pink Family Theatre, and Calgary Young People’s Theatre. Charlotte has also received acclaim, winning the Sybil Cooke Award for a Play for Children from Little Ottawa Theatre Company in 2023 and third place in the Aspiring Playwrights International Competition by Arizona’s East Valley Children’s Theatre in 2018. As a member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada, she continues to inspire young audiences.
