Hispanic Arts Society
The Hispanic Arts Society is based out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We incorporated on June 26, 1987 as a non-profit society and since then we have and continue to stage with tremendous success.
We produce the largest outdoor Latin festival in Western Canada—the Expo Latino Festival. It’s an annual festival held in Calgary since 1996.
We also produce the following events:
- Salsa On The Street
- Día de Muertos Parade
- Canada’s Latin American Visual Art Exhibition
- Teatro Hispano Festival
Our primary mandate and objectives are:
- To promote cultural exchanges among Hispanic musicians, dancers, actors, and visual artists.
- To advance and promote the Hispanic community for the public benefit.
- To bring the public’s attention to the unique characteristics of the Hispanic arts community.
- To enhance the arts community and to increase Canada’s access to artistic experiences.
