When I make art, I aim to capture places where industry, people and nature interact. My painting has a landscape focus, but I am engaged by landscapes where industry has a presence. These places hold a tension between what we consider natural and human. Seeing this intersection of worlds through art helps build a connection, understanding and appreciation of the complex environment around us. I love to reflect on the identity of a place through public art.
