Lynne Huras
Born in Stratford, Ontario and living in both Banff and Stratford, Lynne is known for her interpretations of Canadian landscapes, particularly trees. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto and Sheridan College, and she has painted landscapes from coast to coast. Hoping to add another coast soon.
Each painting begins as sketches on site before an image is ready for canvas and paint. Working from these sketches, acrylic paintings evolve from the rhythm of the lines where trees meeting sky and roots meet rock. The intent is to evoke a sense of calm and connectedness.
Lynne has been awarded three public art pieces, exhibited in various Canadian cities, has illustrated children’s stories, worked with orchestras (including Calgary & Red Deer), and has works in private collections around the world.
For every painting sold, Lynne plants 10 trees with Calgary based Tree Era Company.
