Marda Loop Justice Film Festival

The Marda Loop Justice Film Festival (MLJFF) is a non-profit society that has provided movie-goers with the opportunity to explore and discuss international and local social justice issues. The festival presents some of the world’s best documentaries on issues important to us as individuals, Canadians, global citizens and humans. Since its inception in 2006, the MLJFF has brought influential films to tens of thousands of people in the Calgary area, and thanks to our sponsors, has done it free of charge. The annual festival spans six days in November and the justREEL film series is presented year-round. The MLJFF has satellite festivals in Red Deer, Fort Macleod, and Sarnia. Post-film discussions offer the audience an opportunity to engage with the filmmaker, or other topic experts.
