Miriam Fabijan
Miriam Fabijan is a contemporary multidisciplinary artist. As a first generation Canadian, her creative projects reflect a deep engagement with the topic of displacement—the result of immigration—offering layered visual narratives that question the construction of personal and collective histories. Her art offers a profound exploration of identity, trauma, and the transformative power of creativity, drawing inspiration from her Slovenian heritage and family history. She works across painting, drawing, photography, fibre art and installation, exhibiting her artwork across Canada and Europe. Fabijan is an active contributor to academic discourse through her curatorial work, panel participation and coverage in multiple publications.
