NASARIMBA (Mikhail Miller and Rachel Ziriada)

NASARIMBA, meaning “playful mischief”, is the multidisciplinary practice of Canadian visual artists, Rachel Ziriada (BFA UVic 2014) and Mikhail Miller (BFA AUArts 2006). Since 2015, the duo has collaborated in producing paintings, prints, sculptural installations and large-scale public murals.

They have been awarded project grants from Calgary Arts Development including the 2022 Artist Initiated Public Art Microgrant. Their work has been featured in mural festivals including Wall-to-Wall (2017, Winnipeg, MB), Rust Magic (2017-19, Edmonton, AB), BUMP (2018/2020, Calgary, AB) and Nelson International Mural Festival (2023, Nelson, BC). They have participated in national and international residencies and have recently exhibited their work in Calgary and Mexico City. Mikhail and Rachel live and work together in Mohkinstsis, Treaty 7 Territory / Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
