Community Investment & Capacity Manager

Melissa Tuplin has been a member of the community investment team at Calgary Arts Development since 2014, working as community investment assistant and community investment officer before becoming the community investments and capacity manager in 2019.

She is focused on the design and evaluation of the grant investment programs, the development of capacity building opportunities for artists and arts organizations, and supports the program specialists in the implementation and administration of investment programs.

Melissa holds a BFA (with distinction) from Concordia University, double majoring in contemporary dance and theological studies, and completed the Rozsa Executive Arts Leadership Program in 2019. She remains a practicing artist, working primarily in collaborative new performance creation with collective Dancing Monkey Laboratories, and is step-mother to The Missy Cat.
