Community-Run Public Art Microgrants 2023 Recipients Announced

Community-Run Public Art Microgrants 2023 Recipients Announced

We are excited to announce the recipients of the 2023 Community-Run Public Art Microgrant Program. Twenty-three community associations were selected to each receive a microgrant up to $10,000. Projects range from murals to mini galleries and community art walks.

Recognizing that public art opportunities can come from grassroots ideas that are initiated and led by communities, Calgary Arts Development invited proposals for community-run public art projects. Organizations in Calgary/Mohkinsstsis applied for funding to hire local artists and create public art in their neighbourhoods.

For more information, see the complete program description.

Projects funded through this program must be completed by December 31, 2024.
