New public artworks featured on billboards across Calgary
A fourth series of artworks, A Fleeting Glimpse, is now showing on billboards across Calgary. Curated by Tomas Jonsson, this series explores themes of history, identity and interconnected narratives through 11 artworks from the City of Calgary Public Art Collection.
Featured artists include Anne Severson, Rachel Duckhouse, Alana Bartol, Jed Irwin, Terry Gregoraschuk, Murray Gibson, Dora Helen Mackie, Jeffrey Viner, Arthur Nishimura, Gilbert William Hayes and H.G. Glyde. The series will be on display until October 2025.
This exhibition is part of the Now Touring: Public Art Billboards program, which brings artwork from Calgary’s Public Art Collection into the daily lives of Calgarians.
