Now Touring: Public Art Billboards launch across Calgary

Starting in December 2023 and continuing throughout 2024, selected works from the City of Calgary Public Art Collection will be featured on billboards across the city.

Brought to you by Calgary Arts Development and the City of Calgary, Now Touring: Public Art Billboards shines a spotlight on artwork from Calgary’s Public Art Collection by making it part of people’s daily commutes.

These works, selected by Calgary Public Art lead curator Sophia Lebessis, are currently in storage and not on display to the public.

Our commitment to Indigenous reconciliation, racial equity, disability justice, and gender and sexual diversity.

We acknowledge that the land we gather on, Mohkinsstsis, is the ancestral territory of the Siksikaitsitapi — the Blackfoot people — comprising the Siksika, Kainai and Piikani Nations, as well as Treaty 7 signatories, the Tsuut’ina Nation and the Îyârhe Nakoda Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney First Nations. Today this land is home to the Otipemisiwak Métis Government Districts 5 and 6 as well as many First Nations and Inuit from across Turtle Island.
