Angie Davis
Public Art Administrator
Angie Davis is a Calgary-born artist and community leader who earned her BFA in Fibre Arts in 2004 from AUArts. She has experimented with puppets, foraged fibre sculpture, weaving, wardrobe in the film industry and garment creation. Her leadership in arts-based programming includes producing grassroots neighbourhood concerts, public murals, community art and craft sales, community hands-on art projects, and volunteer initiatives. Angie has gained expertise in project administration through positions such as program director for the Sunalta Community Association, administrative support for her family Design-Build firm and volunteer coordination at many local festivals and events. She is currently the Project Lead at the Sunalta Wildflower Garden. Her work reflects a deep commitment to fostering creativity and connection within Calgary’s diverse communities.
She is happiest on her bike, in the forest and gathering with the people she loves (which is almost everyone).
