Kari Woo
Since receiving her BFA from AUArts in 2003 Kari has been engaged in a full-time interdisciplinary arts practice. She’s an award-winning, independent jewellery designer + maker and an internationally exhibited artist whose work is centered around diasporic perspectives and sense of place. She brings additional professional skills from her background as a small business owner, program designer + coordinator, instructor, and community organizer.
Joining CADA is the perfect intersection between these cumulative experiences and the community connections she’s built in her twenty plus years as a professional artist. Kari is excited for opportunities to contribute to the cultural fabric of Mohkinsstsis / Calgary through the good work of the Public Art team and their continued learning and work towards repair + reconciliation.
