Phone: 403.264.5330

Perpetual Atife is a new addition to the Community Investment & Impact team as grant programs specialist at Calgary Arts Development.

A recent immigrant from Nigeria, Perpetual holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from the University of Lagos. Her professional career started off with the Musical Society of Nigeria, where she served as the manager for membership & events, serving as a liaison between the organization, the musicians, and the community. Her role included designing and curating the annual concert and festival calendar. She also served as secretary on some of the organization’s boards. Since moving to Canada, Perpetual has worked with Costco and served as administrative assistant with the Steinway Piano Gallery.

In this new role as grant program specialist, she is looking to draw from her experience working with artists, patrons, and other organizations to achieve set goals.

Raised in the bustling, metropolitan city of Lagos in Nigeria, Perpetual is also a live music artist. Her artistic practice is built around her childhood experience and her faith. When she takes off her arts administrator hat, she is a recording and performing saxophonist and composer, bringing the community together to experience art. Her performances in the city include the TDJazz Festival, the Canadian Jazz Festival and the National Music Centre’s Bell Live Series at the King Eddy.
