Adaptive Change and Experimentation in the Arts

Adaptive Change and Experimentation in the Arts

Join Calgary Arts Development for a discussion of adaptive change and experimentation in the arts.

September 25, 2017
10:00am – 12:00pm
Lougheed House (707 13th Ave. SW)

Changes in today’s operating environment for artists, collectives and nonprofit arts and culture organizations require new thinking if they are to remain healthy, resilient, and able to maximize their impact and value.

Through New Pathways for the Arts | Calgary and the Small Experiments Grant Program, Calgary artist and arts organizations have been developing new approaches to challenges and opportunities. Join us as we harvest learnings from the experiments and innovation prototypes that have occurred throughout 2017.

The event will feature presentations from Alberta Theatre Projects, Downstage Performance, and Swallow-a-Bicycle Theatre about their ongoing prototyping work through the New Pathways for the Arts program, followed by a Living Library featuring artists and organizations discussing small experiments they have undertaken to develop new approaches relevant to the work they do in the arts.

Coffee and light refreshments will be served.

Thank you to Lougheed House for hosting this gathering!

Thank you for your interest. Registration is now closed.
