Summer Window Exhibition Launches at Centre Street LRT Platform

A delicate watercolor painting of autumn foliage. The composition features overlapping branches with leaves in shades of green, yellow, red and purple. The background is softly blurred, suggesting depth and sunlight filtering through a forest.

Summer Window Exhibition Launches at Centre Street LRT Platform

A new exhibition is now on display in the window galleries at the Centre Street LRT platform. Light, Line and Life by Ensieh Farrokhi (East Window Space) features hyperrealist drawings that explore the quiet beauty of nature through coloured pencil, watercolour, oil and pastel. Held in Empathy, We Bloom by Bukhtawar Malik (West Window Space) presents richly detailed paintings that reflect on memory, connection and human experience through warm colours and organic forms. The exhibition will run until August 2025.

This exhibition is part of the Open Spaces: Windows to a View program, featuring works by local artists in partnership with the Immigrant Council for Arts Innovation (ICAI). Through this ongoing collaboration, ICAI creates opportunities for immigrant and newcomer artists to share their work with the public. This rotating exhibition series highlights diverse artistic voices while integrating art into Calgary’s transit spaces.
