Brief Overview
The Artist Development Microgrant provides one-time funding to individual artists and artist collectives in Calgary / Mohkinsstsis working in any artistic discipline who pursue a professional practice.
This program supports applicants with professional and artistic skill development or business and career development activities. The microgrant seeks to invest in artists to access education and mentorship, build skills and networks, create new ways of working and promote entrepreneurship and business acumen.
This program piloted a lottery process in 2024 and will utilize a lottery process again for both intakes in 2025.
