Cornerstone Program Applications currently closed Results Guidelines Terms of Reference Policies The Cornerstone Program provides stable investment in arts organizations that play an integral role in sustaining Calgary’s overall arts ecosystem. Because of their size and scale, contribution to their discipline and history of ongoing engagement with Calgarians, these organizations are civic institutions enriching the artistic and creative vibrancy of Calgary. Calgary Arts Development developed the Cornerstone Program in 2015 to complement the redesigned Operating Grant Program. The Cornerstone Program was replaced by the City-Builder Program in 2019. Program Goal Along with our Operating Grant Program, the goal of the Cornerstone Program was to ensure that Calgary arts organizations have the opportunity to excel and strategically achieve their mandates with a stable base of resources. The Cornerstone Program ran on a four-year cycle from 2015 to 2018. For information on how this program was assessed, please refer to the 2015 Cornerstone Program Guidelines. As a result of the Cornerstone Bridge Funding Program directed by The City of Calgary in 2017, Calgary Arts Development worked with the Cornerstone organizations and other community members to develop a Sustainability Framework. This framework was presented to The City of Calgary in Q2 2018. Stay informed. Sign up for our weekly newsletter.
