Grant Investment Programs

In alignment with Calgary Arts Development’s Strategic Framework, the 2020 grant investment programs contribute to fostering a sustainable and resilient arts sector through grant investments to arts organizations and artists living and working in Calgary (known as Mohkinstsis in Blackfoot).

These programs will allow us to identify and work towards reducing barriers to engagement with Calgary Arts Development’s investment and arts development programs, and acknowledge and support art and artists from diverse and equity seeking communities.

The community investment team is working to embed program evaluation into every stage of the investment process. The team will be actively seeking conversations and relationships within the arts sector in order to further understand and serve the needs of the community. Program evaluation allows us to better tell the story of the impact of the arts in our communities, and to design relevant investment programs that reflect artists and organizations in the city.

Calgary Arts Development programs are assessed by peer committees of artists and artistic community members. If you are interested in serving as a peer assessor, or would like to nominate someone, please complete the Assessor Nomination Form.
