Cultural Leaders Legacy Artist Awards
Nominations Now Open for the 2021 Cultural Leaders Legacy Artist Awards
Calgary Arts Development is pleased to present the annual Cultural Leaders Legacy Artist Awards. These awards will be given out at the Mayor’s Lunch for Arts Champions in March 2021.
Nominations are now open in the following categories:
- ATB Financial Healing Through the Arts Award
- Calgary Catholic Immigration Society New Canadian Artist Award
- Doug and Lois Mitchell Outstanding Calgary Artist Award
- Mamdani Arts Leadership Award
- RBC Emerging Artist Award
- Rozsa Emerging Arts Administrator Award
- SANDSTONE City Builder Award
The deadline for these awards is 4:30pm on January 15, 2021.
Nominations open December 7, 2020 for the new Indigenous Artist Award, sponsored by TD Bank Group. Calgary Public Library will manage the selection process for this award and residency according to the criteria and process developed through consultation with the Indigenous community.
Applications for this residency will be accepted until December 31, 2020.
A legacy of Calgary’s year as a Cultural Capital of Canada, each Cultural Leaders Legacy Artist Award is funded by a contribution from a local philanthropist or organization with matching money from Calgary 2012. These awards are $5,000 cash prizes that support artists, arts organizations, arts administrators, and volunteers.
